summer strolling

Fun night last night... we went to the Pasta Bowl for dinner where I got an ammmazing scallop fettuccine Alfredo and then we went to Molly's to get cupcakes for dessert later... yum yum!

We found an amazing little lillypad pond tucked away in the Lincoln Park Zoo area...

Geese :) so cute... then Josh said... he wouldn't even need a gun to get one here... oh boys ;)

I wanted to take one of the little babies home!! SOOO cute!

It was a really good day! Really Really good :)

fun new things

last night was art night at my apartment...which consists of a chic flick and sitting in front of our TV creating... i was able to post what i made last night for sale on my etsy today...

tonight... going for a fun summer walk to the beach and dinner outside with my love! :) can't wait!

today was free cupcake day at more ... pretty much one of the yummiest cupcakes i have ever had! the end. :)

meet me in st louis

so this weekend josh and i went to his dad's in southern illinois... which is about 20 miles outside st louis so i got to see the arch for the first time! yay! was fun...loved his fam too, was a ton of fun spending time with them as well!

indiana sand dunes

so the indiana dunes were fun! no anna maria or sarasota beach but it was still very very beautiful and i really had a great time... maybe too good of a time as you can see from our photos. josh (the boyfriend) surprised me with a day trip there a while back. lots and lots and lots of sand. sand everywhere... somehow i always manage to get sand in my mouth... probably because i carelessly like to roll around in it... who said being a grownup was any fun anyways? i think beaches have a way of bringing the kid out in us all. i am going to definitely go back here again soon. i thought it was great! hopefully i get to go sometime soon with my old roomate maria-elena! we have been trying to go for like a year...but things keep coming up... it's gonna happen this summer though, totally going back for another day of fun in the sun!

the number 9

nine days until i will be home sweet home in florida for 4th of july weekend... and nine things i miss and love about good ol' tampa bay...

1. my usf bulls, how i miss sweating it out in raymond james stadium cheering on my boys 2. my family, they are hands down the world's greatest family and i hate living across the country from them 3. anna maria island which is in my opinion the world's prettiest most secluded beach 4. miss melissa schaedel, my always go to person for some random fun and one of the best friends a girl could ever ask for 5. my home church family, half of them practically raised me and they are and will always be my second family 6. my cat chloe, and no i am not a weird cat lady...i just happen to like this one 7. sweet tea, these northerners are crazy to not have it here, it's the best thing ever 8. the soon to be mrs melody metzger and her lovely fiance justin, i miss mcdonalds runs and way too much shopping, most importantly i miss doing absolutely nothing at all but having the time of our lives 9. chic-fil-a, i don't really know why chicago doesn't have one of you chic-fil-a... but they really are missing out...

well hello blogging world...

so, hello blogging world... something new and exciting... a whole new realm of opportunity? who knows...for now i am just going to try to keep up with it. there are two things i am not so great at...

1. starting a new thing and keeping it up (i have this thing called ADD and sometimes it totally gets the best of me) and

2. actually remembering that i have a blog and should try to update it daily...

this is a blog about me... nothing too specific, just my day to day adventures, thoughts, likes and dislikes...

i work a desk job and sometimes miss my artistic outlets... so hopefully... this and my etsy will help me release some of my built up creative tension that is dying to be let out.
